The CI Manager, EU Oilseeds Operations, manages and implements process improvements for production and general operations at European Oilseeds ADM sites in order to achieve corporate goals and objectives.
- Develops and executes CI implementation strategy that supports the overall EU Oilseeds strategy and mission
- Drives Continuous Improvement (CI) and process development to achieve business objectives
- Actively participates in the ADM EU Oilseeds CI Office activities (e.g. CI waves)
- Performs change management (e.g. in preparation of a CI wave)
- Participates in development of high performance CI and lean leadership trainings and perform these trainings
- Supports Project Management Office Activities for non-technical projects at EU Oilseeds
- Define and drive ADM Oilseeds CI strategy
- Develops the CI approach and CI lean leadership training material, performing these trainings
- Utilizes lean principles to drive continuous improvement
- Measures and drives continuous improvement efforts; surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes; measures performance against process requirements
- Organizes and facilitates cross-functional teams in conjunction with the EU Oilseeds CI Office Team to achieve CI project goals
- Assist and coordinated the management of key initiatives, systems and programs supporting ADM's strategic plan
- Facilitates Root Cause Analysis trainings and monitors performance. Works on Corrective Action / Preventive Action investigations to identify root cause analysis of problems; ensures retraining or process improvements to resolve issues
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor's Degree, science-related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years proven performance in manufacturing environment. Must have at least 3 years' process improvement experience.
- Analytical – Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Designs work flows and procedures
- Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions
- Oral Communication – Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Participates in meetings
- Written Communication – Writes clearly and informatively; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information
- Teamwork – Gives and welcomes feedback; Contributes to building a positive work environment
- Thorough in in Project Management following PMO methodologies;
- Proficient in MS Office; advanced skills in Excel
- Proficiency on LEAN manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles
- Fluency in English, other languages (e.g. German, Polish, Dutch, Czech) are beneficial
- Data mining using business intelligent tools e.g. Power BI is a plus
- Strong people, leadership and mentorship skills
- Open-mindedness and ability to work with diverse groups and individuals
- Highly developed interpersonal skills incl. ability to gain consensus
- Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Budget management skills
- PMP certification is desired
