Purpose of the role
• Provides complete finance support to the CPO and his Leadership team
• Provides insight into procurement initiatives and supports Procurement Governance functions such as the Group Specification Board and the Group Supplier Management Board.
• Tracks and reports upon the financial delivery of the procurement initiatives and targets and liaises with Opco finance teams to support such initiatives
• Provides support to the GBS FD in the set-up and charging of services for Procurement

Reporting to: Finance Director GBS

Accountabilities
• Liaise with BA and IB finance to ensure supplier spend targets are on track to be delivered, including supporting the signoff process and reporting progress to Governance bodies as appropriate
• Support to CPO including being an integral part of the Procurement Leadership Team to ensure decision making is undertaken with financial implications understood
• Ownership of tracking and reporting of Group Procurement budgets including the consolidation of spend within the operating companies as well as at Group level
• Support to various heads of category with ad-hoc requests including contract support, workshops, recruitment requests etc.
• Support Procurement budget and planning cycles and associated business case creation/development
• Input into weekly Global Services resource meeting ensuring Procurement requests are fully understood and business case evaluated where appropriate
• Support benchmarking with external organisations to measure the ongoing success of Group Procurement
• Monitors performance against budget, last year and last forecast
• Produces ad-hoc reviews/ reports into specific areas of concern or opportunity
• Seeks additional ad-hoc support when required via the GBS Finance Director

Key Relationships / Interfaces
• Supports the GBS Finance Director to deliver overall GBS financial requirements and targets
• Works closely to support the CPO and the Procurement Leadership Team.
• Establishes strong working relationship with the senior finance teams in the Opcos both reporting and line management, as well as the Group Financial Controller
• May need to present to Global Services LT and the IAG Management Committee

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Skills: Financial evaluation, influencing, decision making and strong business acumen
Qualifications: Qualified Accountant
Experience: Worked at management level in large multi-function organisation
