Responsibilities:
This position will be responsible for the continued management of electronic components changes requested by suppliers. The candidate will interface with various departments and work closely with Components Technical Specialist for in-depth knowledge transfer. Candidate will be responsible for leading various objectives with global impact including ability to define alternative components, manage the component database change approval, and technical support for worldwide component, Candidate will work in an international environment.
Requirements:
- Detailed understanding of electronic components,technologies,construction,materials,failure modes and applications
- Ability to solve component technical issues with strong electronics and management skills
- Review and manage component supplier requests for electronics components changes
- Creation of change requests to manage the of risk assessment associated with those changes.
- Management of component obsolescence including identification of replacement parts
- Communicative English skills (ability to read technical documentation);
- Coordinate meetings with project/application teams to review component changes.
- Use of IS tools, including minitab, JIRA, web-based document management tools and database
- Relevant electronic engineering degree or equivalent; additional post-graduate training an advantage.
