In our facility in Niepołomice we are desigining, manufacturing and testing engine controllers and cabinets.
Join our Operations team as a Logistics Supervisor.
- Directs the activities of, and has responsibility for, subordinates in warehouse and shipping department
- Responsible for the proper handling of incoming products through the receiving docks, and stocking and handling of components
- Work directly with the freight carriers to ensure compliance with Woodward freight initiatives and policies
- Responsible for the preparation of all necessary paperwork and the coordination of all necessary activities required to package and ship materials and products required to satisfy customer requirements
- Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining departmental and individual goals & performance measures
- Aligns individual and team/departmental goals to support overall organizational goals
- Coordinates work load requirements and work scheduling with teams (target – up to 40 members team)
- Develops, reviews and maintains staffing requirements
- Responsible for annual performance evaluations and discipline
- Identify and provide training needs related to safety, quality, new technologies and application tools for members development
- Leads strategic projects for functional area
- Reporting to the local Materials Manager
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Solid knowledge of business computer systems and PC tools
- Strong English language skills
- Ability to quickly learn processes, equipment and tools used in specific areas of responsibility
- Ability to analyze data and prepare reports / presentations of ongoing logistics processes
- Solid communication skills - both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize day-to-day activities and issues within functional area
- Ability to make decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure.
- Ability to delegate as necessary to meet objectives
- Demonstrate experience leading continuous improvement activities through strong team-building and problem-solving
- Basic knowledge about Lean Manufacturing
- Ability to motivate teams and demonstrated ability to resolve complex member related issues
