Our client, a multinational company operating in the manufacturing and industry sector with growing operations in Poland, is looking for a highly professional candidate for the newly created position of Senior Accountant. This individual will act as the lead accountant responsible for all accounting issues in the company''s operations in Austria.
- Manage the entire accounting process for the local entities including general ledger, accounts payables, accounts receivables, inventory, fixed assets and cash management
- Prepare cyclical financial reports according to IFRS and group reporting principles to ensure compliance with local tax regulations and group requirements
- Responsible for treasury cycle including daily cash reconciliations and treasury reporting
- Responsible of the local GAAP in Austria and in Poland
- Prepare documents for the financial audits, lead the audit process in Austria
- Support the local Finance & Administration Manager in preparing and gathering data for budgeting and forecasting process
- Work closely with local and international finance organization to implement and improve financial accounting and monitoring processes and procedures
- Support local management and HQ with the organization and administration of the local entity
- Develop and manage a small team of operational accountants
- University education with accounting / finance degree
- Accounting qualification (ACCA) is a big plus
- Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in a similar role in accounting with IFRS requirements
- Experience in production industry and an international organization required
-Practical experience with an ERP system
- Ability to work independently and self-motivate
- Ability to manage and motivate small team
- Communicate written and oral English and German at a high level
- Willingness for extensive business traveling to Austria
