Effective English is a language school for children and teenagers, created out of a need to teach in a different way from the traditional school system.
The school was built on the belief that children learn languages best when:
– they feel safe
– they have a real relationship with their teacher
– they speak and use the language instead of only filling in exercises
– they are treated as people, not as a syllabus to complete
We don’t teach from coursebooks and we don’t teach from behind a desk.
Our lessons are active, based on interaction, and focused on real communication.

– talks openly about what works and what doesn’t
– isn’t afraid to admit mistakes
– keeps improving how we teach children
We are not a corporate language school. We are a small, growing school where people and values matter as much as results.
