Aftermarket R&D Engineer

For our Client – an international automotive company, we are looking for the best Candidate for the position Aftermarket R&D Engineer.

Your Role:

1. Accountable for the deliverables:
• Apply the specific PDP of his/her PG/PL following CPM (CLEAN Project Management)
• In charge of the robust design in line with the economical targets
• Applies Standardization rules, exceptionally will request destandardizations based on sound justifications
• Transversalization of new product standard to the site
• Call for all necessary design reviews
• Make sure that Design Reviews of other networks are happening in a timely manner (Purchase, Industrial)
• Represent the R&D function at the customer
• Define DV/PV P for new products and AM P0
• Coordinate and drive technically the resources necessary to the development of the product (prototypes, tests, designers, simulation)
• Interface with the customer for the R&D subjects of the project, break down and cascade internally customer requests and needs
• Define customer AM ranges and application lists
• Build technical compliance matrix during RFQ process and before requirement ad design freeze during new P1/P10 development
• Define e-BOM for new ranges during RFQ process (OES/IAM)
• Manage e-BOM in PLM for new ranges and products (OES/IAM)
• Report and escalate to his project manager or R&D manager as needed
• Ensure technical data collection, static and aerodynamic validation of AM products
• Worldwide AM database “SOLFEGE” input on common and specific product for site especially CRIMP / PIN / NGR technology, SWF range, trucks…
• Ensure OES following OEM product definition and flawless launch
• Technical product benchmark automotive shows and exhibitions (with AM team)

2. Responsible for the detailed scheduling and budgeting
• Contribute to the identification of the needs in terms of resources, equipment’s, investments
• Establish detail break down of the activities to meet the milestones
• Follow activities and spending of his scope to meet his allowed budget

3. Management of the contributors
• Daily management of all R&D contributors, dedicated or not
• Assign to them the work packages needed
• Regular review with his/her R&D manager or Product Manager and the Department Managers to check alignment between needs and availabilities
