For our client, global consumer goods company, which is currently opening a brand new service centre in Prague (Czech Republic), we are looking for:

Team Leader, Accounts Payable

Within this role You would be responsible for overseeing an AP team within the company’s Shared Service Centre, managing staff members in areas of invoice processing, vendor account reconciliation and payment processing. You would also manage monthly and quarterly disbursement forecasting, provide support and answer questions on the forecasts with internal stakeholders, manage and review month end AP Module closing, reconciliations, and journal entries to ensure accurate financial liability recording for the company. What is more, you would participate in cross-functional process improvement initiatives, act as 1st line of communication for issues regarding AP area, prepare reports for management and supporting documentation for various stakeholders. You would also act as Subject Matter Expert regarding AP Process, perform Sarbanes Oxley Controls, assist with staff selection and development as well as monitor, manage, confirm and report Key Performance Indicators for services offered by the client.

Perfect candidate should have at least 5 years’ experience in a finance and accounting department, hold at least Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. You should also have strong accounting and analytical skills and at least 3 years’ experience in people management. Project management and process improvement skills are also desirable. Solid understanding of accounting systems and processes and strong technology skills, including PC and WEB-based applications with a working knowledge of business finance system platforms (Excel, SAP) and proficiency in both written and spoken English are also required.
