Our client is one of the world largest commodity trading companies. They are ramping up their Data Science and Engineering Team. The team researches, develops and provides advanced analytics and data services to the trading business and other commercial operations at the company. It is comprised of Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Quantitative Finance experts. It is a commercially driven, front office aligned team, that works in close partnership with the trading desks, global research and enterprise technology.
This role would be part of associated Data Science related projects and considers the following activities:
Initial data investigation and exploratory data analysis;
Data processing, cleaning and integration;
Data modelling processes design to create models and perform analysis;
Writing code working in a variety of languages such as Python, Scala, Java and SQL.
