For our Client, we are actually looking for:
Database Administrator
location: Grodzisk Mazowiecki (Warszawa)
Position description:
- Maintenance of existing database systems including patching / performance optimization / backups
- Install and configure new database servers
- Configure high-availability solution on database servers (including database mirroring, log shipping, replication and other solutions)
- Up-time of the database systems
- Understanding of the existing database structure and assists with ad-hoc queries
- Creating advanced and ad-hoc reports using SSRS and/or XLS, CSV exports
- Assists developers with database queries, updates and other requests
- Audit, modify, and amend data in systems using SQL commands, hand-editing, and bulk import.
- Design database for new projects
- Performance optimization for existing databases (query plans, indexes, etc).
- Data archiving
- Monitor the availability, performance and reliability of database systems
- Maintain the technical documentation of processes and procedures used in database operations
- Assist with technology planning through ongoing research
- Identify opportunities where IT may assist users in increasing efficiency and operating more effectively within the company and produce proposals for such improvements
- Assist with any other support tasks as dictated by business needs
- Database systems uptime and availability, prompt incident response.

Job requirements:
- At least 2 years experience with administering and managing of MS SQL Server 2005/2012 Database Engine
- Prompt knowledge of T-SQL and SQL Server database objects
- Prompt knowledge on Management Studio, SQL Profiler and db comparison tools
- At least 1 year experience working with SQL Server Reporting Services
- At least 1 year experience working with SQL Server Integration Services
- At least 1 year experience on high availability solutions in SQL Server
- Database data importing / exporting from/to various formats (CSV, XLS, XML, JSON)
- Exposure to data transferring automation, database transferring
- Good English skills (reading/writing/speaking)
Nice to have:
- Microsoft SQL Server certification
- Knowledge of Oracle Database
- Some Java experience
