A successful Finance and Accounting Manager must be comfortable inside the plant, must quickly build a trusting relationship with plant managers.

Client Details

For our client international manufacturing company located in Starogard Gdański we are looking for experienced professionals on the position of Finance and Accounting Manager.

Description

• Responsible for financial & management reporting of the production plant
• Monitor plant to ensure maximum utilization is achieved at all times, helping to reduce plant cost
• Advise and support the Management Team (including Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics)
• Evaluating plant performance through cost variance and KPI analysis
• Controlling product launch & capital investment spending
• Ensuring month-end closing was done in accordance with accounting standards (Polish and IFRS)
• Cooperating with external auditors, tax office, insurance companies and banks
• Being a key contact between headquarter and production plant concerning strategy of development, controlling and accountancy
• Supervise all accounting processes within the company
• Daily responsibility for accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and relevant external reporting
• Prepare financial statements as well as tax and GUS declarations
• Liaise with third-parties (social security authorities, tax authorities, vendors, clients)

Profile

• University degree in finance/economics, professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) will be a strong asset
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a production industry
• Deep understanding of all P&L and Balance sheet components
• Knowledge of business valuation techniques is a plus
• Experience in managing a team will be an asset
• Strong strategic thinking combined with excellent analytical skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Very good knowledge of Excel
• Fluency in English is necessary
