Project Description:
You will be working in a Migrations and Security Remediation area focused on IBM MQ middleware. We are looking for a professional to support one of our clients from the investment banking sector.
Responsibilities
Project's core duties are as following:
- Interact with stakeholders around the planning of EOL migrations and security remediation work for IBM MQ middleware
- Execute the migrations
- Provide support to application teams during non-production and production migrations
- Adhere to teams documentation
- Work in a timely manner to meet all individual and project target dates
- Report status as required in an organised and precise manner
Skills
- Have excellent technical skills in IBM MQ
- Experience in managing and supporting MQ instances in an admin role
- Experience of upgrading MQ versions, particularly to MQ9
- Knowledge of use of encryption protocols (SSL in one of these products)
- Have worked in a complex enterprise messaging environment where security is important
- Have solid Unix (especially Linux) skills
- Possess good general PC skills (confident with MS Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint...)
- Fluent English
Important: be flexible to support some weekend work when production migrations occur
