Your new role
The role of the SOC Analyst is part of client’s Global Cyber Security Operations Center. It operates in a follow-the-sun mode and is responsible for enabling the business of our client by providing agile, implementable, cost-effective and cutting edge Cyber Security Operational and Incident response services to protect data assets, customers and partners. The main responsibilities for the SOC Analyst are to act as first contact for all information-security related issues, continuously monitor cyber security alerts and events coming from different sources, execute pre-analysis and initial triage of these events, rule out false positives, collect and document contextual information based on established practices, escalate to appropriate teams for further investigation and resolution and support these teams during incident handling.
What you'll need to succeed
The perfect candidate should have security experience (understanding of risk, vulnerabilities, security policies, etc.) and work experience in a technical or operational role preferable with security focus. Solid understanding of enterprise grade technologies including security devices, network engineering, operating systems, databases, applications and their security settings and configurations and ability to read and understand system and network traffic data including security event logs, system logs, application logs are also required. To be successful you should also possess network infrastructure and SIEM system (preferably ArcSight) knowledge and have some programming experience. University degree is also a must have, any other relevant certifications (i. e. GCIA, OSCP, CEH or CCNP) would be considered as a plus.
