About the project:

You will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing items in laboratory IP network area. Coordinate activities within own responsibility area. Has developed specialist knowledge in one area. Coaches other team members in solving engineering problems. Solves complex engineering problems of own technology area. Typically participates in reviews of own or neighboring projects. May undertake technical training responsibilities. Works with internal customer being an interface to Development Units.

Responsibilities:

Installing, configuring, and testing equipment, establishing connections to aggregation and core layers
Configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Data Center Network
Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
Basic configuration of firewalls, routing and switching to maximise network efficiency and security
Maximise network performance by monitoring performance, advanced troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating
Maintenance of network services: IPAM, System Monitoring, AAA
Creating and updating network documentation
Network automation

Requirements:

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Software Technology or equivalent education
Minimum 2-3 Years of networks experience
Good working knowledge of networking hardware, especially from the Cisco Catalyst family: 2960, 3850 and 6500/6800
Experience with routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, LACP, STP, VPLS, VPRN, IPv6)
Knowledge of Data Center technology (Spine&Leaf, FC or FCoE, FEX, VXLAN)
Practise knowledge of Radius/Tacacs+
Practise knowledge of high-availability solutions (HRSP, VRRP, VSS, StackWise, VLT, vPC)
Basic knowledge of monitoring tools: Check_MK, GestioIP, Cisco Prime
CCNA or CCNP Certifications will be a plus
Knowledge of configuration Nokia and Juniper routers will be a plus
Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
Fluent verbal communication and writing skills in the English language
Good teamwork skills, ability to work in a multicultural environment

Network devices from various vendors: Palo Alto, Cisco, Dell, Juniper and Nokia
Tools: Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Check_MK, Jira
Routing and switching protocols: BGP, OSPF, LACP, STP, VPLS, VPRN.
Dare Center technology: Spine&Leaf, FC or FCoE, FEX, VXLAN
High availability solutions: HRSP, VRRP, VSS, StackWise, VLT, vPC
