Join our Engineering team as an Marine Systems Mechanical Engineer
DUTIES:
- Mechanical design of power converters for use in Marine applications
- Mechanical construction of entire switchboards in 3D
- Preparation of manufacturing drawings for international suppliers
- Technical communication with the suppliers and internal customers
- Carrying out mechanical calculations to dimension devices according to the requirements
- Support of electrical control cabinets manufacturing processes with appropriate documentation
- Maintenance of BOMs; release of drawings in ERP system
- Documentation/archiving/retrieval of drawings to/from storage system
- Participation in international and multi-site projects
JOB QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- Master / Engineer degree in Mechanical Engineering required
- Knowledge of 3D design CAD in Creo / Pro-Engineer
- Knowledge of FEM methods for mechanical design advantageous
- Experience with 3D design of electrical switchboards
- Effective written and verbal communication skills (procedures, reports, etc.).
- Competent skills in problem solving and trouble-shooting
- Ability to effectively operate in the team-work environment and communicate with team members
- Strong English language skills, in addition, German seen as an advantage
