MS SQL Database Administrator

Responsibilities: 

• Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
• Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members. 
• Participate in Disaster Recovery events.

Requirements:

• Experience as an SQL Server DBA
• Post-graduate degree and/or professional certification(s) and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Experience in providing database support for all phases of SQL Server-based development projects. 
• Experience with problem diagnosis and resolution, including the use of Microsoft support. 
• Experience with performance monitoring and tuning. 
• Experience in patching and addressing security Vulnerabilities. 
• Experience in development and use of standard operating procedures and best practices. 
• Strong team and collaboration behaviours; professional, effective interpersonal communication skills.

Desired Skills: 

• Experience with implementing and managing MS SQL.
• Experience with SQL Server Data Transformation Services (DTS).
• Experience with Mirroring, Log Shipping and Availability Groups.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Polish an English language.
