NSW AS&C Extended Care Software Engineer
Nokia is looking for Software Engineers for the development of Integrated Service Assurance (ISA) – the industry proven, open and scalable Network Fault Management System. The job’s objective is to develop the ISA design, functions, features and bug fixes. Candidates should have knowledge of software technologies, source control, build systems, continuous integration, and the software development and delivery process.
Basic Requirements:
- University degree in Engineering, ideally in Computer Science or Telecommunication.
- Good command of English in speaking and writing.
- At least one of the following:
- Good programming skills in C/C++ or Java.
- Good knowledge of Linux and shell scripting

General technical requirements include:
- Knowledge of multiple object oriented, functional and scripting programming languages like Java/Perl/Python/shell script
- Proficiency in Red Hat Linux; experience with the Windows OS is a plus
- Database/SQL knowledge (Sybase/Oracle)
- Experience with source control systems: ClearCase, SVN
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies like Docker/VirtualBox/VMWare
- Good understanding of DNS, DHCP and IPAM
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good English verbal and written skills
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunication or equivalent
- Experience in a software development role
- Some experience with Client Server, Networking and TCP/IP related projects
