It is definitely a leader on the market it few categories of products; employs approximately 70 000 people and has more than 100 manufacturing and processing facilities and sales in approximately 70 countries. Due to the enforcement of the company\'s position in Poland and its strong development we are looking for the most suitable and experienced candidate to fulfill the position of LOGISTICS MANAGER.
On this position, you will have the responsibility to oversee the entire outbound (market) logistics: transport, warehouses, external suppliers\' activities, as well as, customer satisfaction in the area of logistics solutions.
Job description
Reporting to the Logistics Director (Board Member) and managing the logistics team, the main responsibility of the role will be to drive continuous improvement in the cycle from order to delivery, with the final objectives resulting in optimal processes and Client satisfaction.
The role of Logistics Manager will be, as well, to develop and implement a robust logistics strategy, to deliver excellent distribution/customer service levels and ensure that the stock and transport policies are achieved at a minimal cost.
You will have a collaborative approach to your work, driving commercial relationships cross functionally, as well as pushing continuous improvement initiatives where possible.
You will also have responsibility for warehousing and distribution of both in-house team and 3rd party contractors, ensuring high service performance.
Some of your specific responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring and driving KPIs and best practice for optimal logistical execution
- Maintaining stock levels in accordance with set target
- Drive specific customer projects in order to increase the pipeline efficiency as well as raise customer satisfaction
- Ensure agreed Shipping schedules are achieved
- Supply efficient and cost effective value added support for all shipping requirements
- Use & interpret MRP systems, to set parameters and implement practices and techniques that ensures the most economical movement of materials to meet customer requirements
- Ensure that the logistics infrastructure is capable of supporting the future changing business requirements
- Development, training, coaching and mentoring of all staff within the materials and logistics department.
- Managing product flow
- Cooperation with supply units in order to ensure imported product availability
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate for the role of Logistics Manager will have proven experience in a similar role with responsibility for warehousing / transport / distribution gained in a customer focused organization (preferred is FMCG sector) or (but less) closely-related manufacturing environment. As well as,
- at least 2 years experience in managing Logistics team and process or least 5 years experience working in logistics / supply chain departments
- familiarity with best logistics practices in coordination of warehouse, transport and distribution processes
- understanding of forecasting systems, warehouse systems, inventory profiles and the supporting methodology to manage them effectively
- proven successes in improvement projects supported by examples of change initiatives
- business and target orientation with proven achievements
- pro-active approach to distribution and clients\' issues in term of developing added value solutions for business partners and company itself
- excellent communication skills and confirmed management skills
Candidates will also need to demonstrate high levels of drive and determination with the ability to build sound working relationships both internally and externally.
Fluent English is a must.
