The TAG CoE P&E team will be responsible for producing cost estimates and technical proposals for four keys areas of our business;
• Terminal Automation
• Gas Metering and Regulation
• Liquid Metering and Meter Proving
• Computerised computational and process control system for the above solutions.
Honeywell operate a global network of P&E teams, located in strategic points throughout the world. These local offices are supported by global service centers that can provide general P&E support.
The CoE P&E team will operate on a global basis to provide the detailed technical knowledge required to support the local P&E teams in respect to the four key business areas defined above.
Using their intrinsic skills, the team will develop technically compliant and price competitive solutions in line with the customer specified requirements.
Team members will communicate directly with the local P&E team in respect to their assigned pursuit and, if required, travel to the local P&E site to support the local P&E and Sales team secure the order for pursuit.
P&E engineers are required to analyse the technical specification provided by the client and develop a technically compliant design and commercially competitive design for the requested scope.
Where the solution includes 3rd party scope the P&E engineer is required to create technical specification for the 3rd party equipment and/or services. These include, but not limited to, instrumentation, block valves, control valves, flowmeters and skid fabrication
The P&E engineer will:
• Create detailed specifications for 3rd party equipment
• Issue technical specification to procurement to obtain quotations of the goods.
• Make technical evaluation and selection of 3rd party equipment
• Communicate with Honeywell products group to obtain proposal for Honeywell products.
• Develop a design based on the selected equipment.
• Create and/or define the contents of, drawings and diagrams outlining the proposed solution.
• Create technical proposal documents describing the proposed solution.
• Create detailed list of qualifications and exceptions relating to the offer.
• Create a cost estimate for proposed solution.
The technical functions of the P&E role covers multi-disciplines. It is not expected that candidates will be experienced in all aspects of the work, however candidates are required to demonstrate skills and a minimum of 5 years experience in one or more of the following;
• P&E for packaged equipment within the oil and/or gas industries.
• Principles of custody transfer metering within the oil and/or gas industries.
• Truck and/or rail car loading systems.
• (Hydrocarbon liquids) Terminal Automation solutions.
• Working knowledge of piping systems compliant with ANSI B31.3.
• Working knowledge Electrical and Instrumentation requirements within the oil and/or gas industries; including hazardous area protection.
• Computerised control systems within the oil and/or gas industries.
Candidates with no P&E experience, but who wish to pursue this career path, are encouraged to apply
Basic Qualifications:
A detailed knowledge in at least one of the following:
• ANSI/AMSE Piping Standards
• ATEX E&I requirements
• NEC E&I Requirements
• API flow measurements standards
• AGA flow measurements standards
• ISO flow measurements standards
General understanding of associated engineering disciplines(Mechanical, E&I, Process Automation);
Effective communicator.
Fluent English (written and spoken);
Willingness to travel overseas.
