Power System Protection - R&D Engineer
PSP/KR/2401
Place of work: Kraków, Poland
Tasks:

Research and development of new technologies in electric power system protection;

Investigation and development of advanced methods of power system disturbance detection;

Develop and maintain an expert level of knowledge of digital protective relay (IED) applications, substation equipment and solutions dedicated to electric power system protection and automation;

Functional tests of new solutions/technologies;
Requirements:
- Higher education (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or similar;
- Working knowledge of power system operation , protection and substation automation;
- The knowledge of modern digital signal processing;
- Experience with electric power transmission, distribution and generation systems;
- Good command of work and modeling of electric power system;
- The skills and competences of algorithms development basing on simulation signals and field measurements;
- The practical knowledge of simulation software e.g. Matlab/Simulink, PSCAD, ATP or similar;
- Good command of English language;
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities;
Additional requirements
- Expert knowledge of system protection, integration and automation applications
- Experience with developing design and application of modern electronic intelligent device in substation automation
- Good command of digital and analog industrial communication protocols standards;
