To strengthen our online purchasing team, we are looking for an enthusiastic colleague to join our pre-purchasing team. Do you speak English and an additional foreign language (Polish) and are you commercially minded? Apply and who knows, we might soon welcome you in our team.
We are BAS Trucks, Europe's largest dealer in commercial vehicles and located in Veghel, North Brabant. Every day, we contact suppliers from all over the world via telephone, chat, e-mail and Whatsapp regarding the purchase of a truck, commercial vehicle or construction machine. Our international and driven pre-purchasing team ensures that all these contact moments run smoothly.
As a Pre-purchasing Officer, you will identify new suppliers via chat, e-mail and telephone. You are responsible for collecting leads from potential suppliers who are currently, or may in the future, offer a truck, company car or construction machine for sale. By correctly qualifying the online leads and also by collecting the customer data in our database, you are able to efficiently provide the first contact moments with our suppliers. If a supplier has decided to offer us his vehicle, you ultimately connect the supplier to the right buyer. He or she then takes over the purchasing conversation and proceeds to the negotiation phase. So you could say that you provide the perfect commercial introduction to our purchasing team.
In short, your role is crucial for the commercial success within BAS and for achieving our objectives.

Job description
- Proactively approach new and existing suppliers by telephone - Mail;
- Replenish collected data in our CRM system;
- Plan follow-up actions from the different contact moments;
- Handling supplier offers;
- Maintaining contacts with various suppliers in Europe;
- Contributing to the commercial success of the entire Purchasing Department.
Requirements
- Ability to act as the calling card for our company;
- Both fulltime and part-time is possible;
- Proactive, driven, inquisitive, eager to score
- You are communicatively strong and a real team player;
- Ability to multi-task well;
- Good speaking and writing skills in English and Polish.
