Your new role
As Process Engineer you will analyse product specifications, parts drawings and other engineering data to develop new production processes. You will also estimate time requirements for each step optimising production by compiling de-bottleneck studies as well as preparing operation sheets. You'll analyse existing production processes and support the development of recommendations for changes to working methods or operation sequences that will minimise risks, costs and waste; increase yields and productivity; and improve the quality and consistency of final products. Additionally you will need to collect manufacturing data, calculate and analyse manufacturing KPIs. Other key responsibilities will include the periodic review and definition of KPIs, liaison with the R&D department in order to develop new products or processes in the plant. You will also liaise with production for troubleshooting of the processes and products during daily production. Furthermore you will design, control and improve tooling of the plant (drawing dies, extrusion dies etc). Another area of focus will be to ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation of materials, machinery and work methods, along with schedule/coordinate work to meet tight deadlines and complete within budget for approved projects.

What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience in a similar position within mechanical, process, plastics engineering is essential from the auto, injection moulding, pharmaceuticals, cable, metal, glass, extrusion or printing industry. You must be a clear communicator with excellent problem solving skills; The ability to motivate others is crucial as is a sound level of technical understanding of manufacturing process, products and machinery; Preferred: Six Sigma Green Belt, 5S, Kaizen, Smed.
