Must have skills:
- University degree - preferably聽 IT
- 5+ years of experience in MSSQL database administration
- 2+ years of experience with administration of Microsoft technology stack on Microsoft Azure will be a plus
- Very good in English both written and spoken聽
- Experience in managing the Azure cloud environment
- Very good knowledge of SQL language
- Very good knowledge of database optimization technics
- Knowledge of Continuous Delivery / Continuous Integration on Azure DevOps
- High level of positive energy with a can-do attitude and team focus
- Experience in Azure hybrid architecture with Azure Data lake, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure SQL Databases, Azure Data Factory, Azure Analysis Services MDX/Tabular models and Power BI Visualizations聽
- Understand Azure DevOps Continuous Delivery / Continuous Integration
- Understand version control management concepts
- Basic knowledge of Scala or java
- Basic scripting / programming skills (PowerShell)
- Ability to optimize ELT/ETL processes in Azure SQL Data Warehouse
Nice to have:
- Administration and creation of plugins on Nagios with check_mk layout
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure Functions
- Experience with relational databases like Oracle, Postgress, Sybase
- DAX and MDX programming skills
Responsilibites:
- Ensure business continuity of overseen systems
- Monitor and analyze system performance and usage
- Optimize cloud resources ensuring balance between resource availability, performance and cost
- Identify issues and perform respective root cause analysis
- Develop data quality procedures to ensure quality in line with defined data quality model
- Cooperate with the development team as part of the change management process
- Support Continuous Delivery / Continuous Integration
