Senior Graphic Designer

Job Summary:

Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for creation of innovate and creative proposal designs and deliverables which will help EY gain and edge during the pursuit process. Successfully produces complex conceptualization of ideas to create original artwork. Uses advanced knowledge of digital and new media design skills to produce creative, comprehensive layouts and designs for electronic client deliverables. Maintains and applies advanced design / interactive design skills and a broad knowledge of current print design and new media production techniques. Uses advanced communication skills to offer multifaceted conceptual design solutions based on strategies in relation to client business needs. Manages and oversees complex design projects from concept through production, effectively prioritizes work, and balances multiple priorities simultaneously. Plans and schedules resources to meet client commitments and deadlines. Serves as Creative Services project manager and works effectively in a team environment.

Expectations of the Job:

• Works closely with various pursuit support teams / pursuit managers to understand the overall messaging and come up with innovative design to support that messaging
• Develops architecture, artwork and basic programming for creation of new media presentations, graphics web design and on-screen presentations
• Develops complex concepts for packaging design and carries through with the construction of ideas
• Effectively utilizes styles, master pages and templates, tracking, kerning and leading
• Advanced knowledge for troubleshooting technical issues in graphic files for pre-press and in electronic files for web and on screen viewing
• Assists in establishing vendor lists, develops and maintains vendor relationships, and works with external vendors regarding the coordination of production for external products and services
• Understands, implements, and strictly adheres to the quality standards and procedures established by EY, including creative standards and guidelines
• Excellent team working, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, and persuade
• Able to thrive in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
• Pursues and shares best practices within the department and among staff
• Creates timelines and cost estimates for client approval. Influences clients to choose an effective design and deliverable solution within budget requirements

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in a related role
• Bachelor`s degree, preferably in Graphic Design or related discipline
• Portfolio: A strong design portfolio with a variety of current, leading edge design work
• Communication skills: Good communication skills in English and German are essential as the role requires direct communication with international team members and clients
• Excellent technical knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite products (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Flash, Premiere, Aftereffects) for print and digital is essential for this role. Should be well versed in HTML/CSS, Javascript and other client-side scripting languages
