We are looking for 2 Senior Java Software Developers to join our engineering department based in the UK. The roles will be home-based with the occasional requirement for travel, once or twice a year.
We are looking for people to help in producing, supporting and maintaining innovative solutions using the latest IoT and cloud technologies.
In addition to software development, you will be responsible for formulating and analysing high-level requirements to develop product solutions and ensure that designs are adequately verified according to engineering procedures and comply with relevant regulatory standards.
- Java software development following current best practice.
- Manage your workload, create coherent plans which can be shared with the team and customers.
- Producing project documentation (requirements, specification, user guides etc.).
- Under self-guidance acquire and share knowledge of software tools, frameworks and systems.
- Provide support to our customers when required.
- Self-prioritise to deliver all required project deliverables within agreed timescales.
- Support and develop engineers by providing advice, coaching and educational opportunities
- Maintain own personal professional development.
- Take responsibility for product quality and product testing before and after products are released.
- Provide input to the evaluation of new technologies to be used by the company.
- A minimum of 5 years proven experience in developing software to a high degree of proficiency using Java and SQL.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Ability to demonstrate thorough engineering approach to problem-solving.
- Experience of R&D project lifecycle and development process.
- Ability to plan, organise and prioritise tasks and follow them through to full conclusion.
