Our Client, an international automotive corporation starting up a manufacturing facility in Poland, is seeking to recruit an experienced candidates for the position of:
Senior/Lead Accountant
Responsibilities:
- Maintains reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts for financial and tax purposes.
- Reviews ledger, investigates and corrects errors, and makes necessary accruals.
- Maintains and monitors fixed asset system and completes depreciation entry.
- Responsible for monthly VAT tax filings and VAT accounting.
- Support bank account activity and cash flow projections.
- Work closely with payroll administrator to make payroll journal entries and ensure compliance with Polish laws.
- Will provide mentoring and coaching to Payroll and Accounts Payable positions.
- Work with cross-functional team to proactively identify problems, seek root causes and provide counter measures and development of standard work in a continuous improvement culture.
- Prepare analyses and reports, assist with projections, budgets and foreign currency entries.
- Assist in implementation and training of new systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- 4-6 years experience in finance/accounting required preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Very good knowledge of Enlish.
- Need good VAT and intrastat knowledge. Good working knowledge of statutory reporting.
- Experience working with plant management from multiple functional disciplines on a routine basis.
- Experience working with corporate leadership for effective reporting.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office tools, Hyperion and planning systems. Mapics AS400 or Dynamics AX experience is a plus.
- Proven experience working with and influencing cross functional teams and various levels of plant management. Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
