We are looking for a motivated, experienced, and skilled Oracle DBA to assist the migration team with moving thousands of Oracle databases to a new strategic platform.
Your Team:
The Migration Factory team is tasked with moving infrastructure technology to new strategic platforms to enable numerous programs. As well as database, we support middleware, network, storage and Operating System moves. The migration team is spread across multiple regions and locations.
What you can expect:
*聽聽聽 Interacting with application teams to plan and execute the migrations *聽聽聽 Perform all technical tasks related to the move *聽聽聽 Building and documenting migration paths for new technologies *聽聽聽 Providing support to other members of the team *聽聽聽 Willing to work unsociable hours to meet the goals of the team (occasional Saturday's migrations shall be considered) *聽聽聽 Ability to work independently and set own priorities *聽聽聽Database upgrades & migrations, cloning , backup, restore & recovery using RMAN *聽聽聽Diagnose and resolve performance, connectivity, security and database corruption issues in a critical production environment. *聽聽聽All above applicable to infrastructure which has standalone and RAC databases using file-system based or ASM based storage. *聽聽聽Setup and maintain High-Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
Mandatory skills:
*聽聽聽 You are an experienced Oracle DBA (5+ years) *聽聽聽 You have production support experience of Oracle 10g, 11g, 12c, 18c including RAC and Dataguard *聽聽聽 You have built and supported High Availability solutions, using varied technologies *聽聽聽 You are an articulate speaker that is able to share your ideas and work closely with application teams *聽聽聽 You have prior experience in migrating databases to new platforms using multiple techniques *聽聽聽 Able to report on progress in a clear and timely fashion *聽聽聽 Familiar in Unix system administration relevant to Oracle database management *聽聽聽 Experienced in RAC/ASM, Grid Control Management and Golden Gate replication, High-Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions *聽聽聽 Proficient in Standby and Data Guard technology
