Credit Risk has number of applications and our Client is trying to re-architect/ re-model their backend systems to be ready for the cloud adoption (GCP or Oracle Cloud).
Our Client and Oracle today announced a multi-year collaboration to modernize its database technology and accelerate the bank's digital transformation.
The agreement will see customer's upgrade its existing database systems and migrate the bulk of its Oracle Database estate to Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer, an on-premises deployment option of the Oracle Exadata Cloud Service, to support applications that either will not move to the public cloud or may in the future. This will provide a dedicated platform to support and scale the bank's existing mission-critical systems and services including trading, payments processing, risk and capital planning, and regulatory reporting.
Migrating its systems to Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer will enable our client to consolidate existing critical applications on a single platform while complying with its data residency requirements and significantly reducing operational costs. Oracle's service can run in client's current data centers as well as in future cloud co-location sites, minimizing latency while supporting the shift of applications to the cloud. It will enable our client to drive data integration across its business in order to streamline operations, provide unified oversight of core service processes and implementations, and easily develop and scale applications based on customer demand.
The two companies have also agreed to form a joint innovation partnership, bringing together Oracle and our client engineering and technology teams to explore potential uses for data security technologies, Blockchain, AI and analytics to shape the design of new financial products and services.
Lead the architecture, design and development of enterprise software solutions to business problems, working both autonomously when required, and collaborating effectively as part of multi-location development team
- Write code autonomously and as part of a team, as demanded by the task at hand, following and championing agreed SDLC standards
- Work closely with business owners, domain/data architects and engineers to ensure optimal design of data structures to support dashboards, reporting and analytical datasets for Credit Risk reporting and Analytics
- Exhibit and drive agile behaviours and technical excellence across a global team with focus on understanding and delivering business value in combination with defining and championing best practice software development standards in line with the firm's standards and industry best practice
- Own problems, seek help, provide guidance, and manage expectations to delight stakeholders.
- Participate in and resolve findings in code reviews (4 eyes principle) of developed source code
- Deep technical knowledge of Oracle 11g/12c, RDBMS and detailed understanding of Data Modelling, Data Warehouse Concepts, Database design, performance tuning, Online Transactional and Analytical Data Processing, with experience working with multi terabyte data warehouses.
- Understanding of Banking, and Investment Banking Products; ideally experience of Risk Management systems.
- Full stack development experience with experience of resolving typical software architecture problems and applying patterns.
- Experience of working in an Agile Development team practicing (SCRUM), KANBAN, XP. And familiarisation with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) delivery methodology concepts
- Experience building and working with continuous integration, deployment and automated test environments, including performance testing of large applications: Defining strategies for stress, concurrency and volume test and execution of those.
