For our team "Banking and Market Applications" we are looking for a Lead Technical Specialist for planning, integrating and operating WebSphere & Tomcat Application Server environments. Our team of engineers is living up to agile DevOps practices: As part of agile "pods", the colleagues are closely connected with our Germany-based business analysts, application managers and product managers. We are the important intermediary between IT Operations (colleagues looking after IT infrastructure, especially DBA and network experts) and the application development.
Regular video conferences as well as visits to Düsseldorf and Krakow help strengthening good knowledge transfer and our agile team collaboration.
- You and your teammates are responsible for all aspects of delivering filetransfer process solutions to the business:
o Planning, integration and operating of crucially important application server infrastructure based on Websphere Application Server, Liberty and Tomcat Application Server in a high availability framework.
o Plan, design, implement and run support application servers based on project requirements
o Acting as technical contact for all stakeholders inside the company.
o Speaking to project managers, product- and business owners on features and requirements of necessary environments.
o Identify areas for improvement and drive change through to completion.
o Actively participate in a self-organized DevOps team.
o Participate on alarming line service on a weekly basis.
- Experience with agile practices is a plus (Scrum, Kanban, DevOps).
- Profound IT technical background: Experience with operating systems, especially RHEL, network security and certificate handling.
- Profound expertise in running industry standard application server environments, e.g. IBM WebSphere Application Server product line
- Degree with IT focus or excellent IT work experience.
- Drive to implement and foster DevOps.
- Self-starter, able to work in fast paced agile development environment.
- Communication skills to collaborate effectively within the team, business and external clients.
