You have recently completed a degree or have developed solid design skills and business acumen in your career and are ready to take it to the next level. Whether it’s through starting to write code for a Software as a Service (SaaS) company, coaching of junior team members or identifying and resolving production problems, your analytical and communications skills get the job done. The Job:
As a Software Engineer at OEC, you’ll have the opportunity to build cloud and robust ecommerce solutions used by major automotive manufacturers, car dealerships and repair shops around the world. You’ll learn, apply and share industry best practices to solve complex coding problems and will continually learn new technologies for professional growth.
Here is what you can expect to do:
- Develop using current technologies, including but not limited to .NET C# programming, MSSQL, WebAPI, SSIS, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- Follow Agile software development practices and SOLID design principles to engage in a variety of projects
- Work with your team to brainstorm, design, build and deploy products or systems; Expand and exercise your technical knowledge through mentorships with other associates
- ·Test and squash bugs in code to optimize functionality by writing unit tests and participating in peer code reviews
- Offer support after deployment to ensure optimal performance and high customer satisfaction
- Interact regularly with other departments within our US headquarters, including but not limited to Marketing, Product, Customer Care, Information Services and Quality Assurance to gather and share information regarding product builds and progress
- Participate in team-building activities with your peers and managers
Requirements
- Junior Level: Prior hands-on experience (guild, internship or similar experience is acceptable) writing moderately complex code, develops technical specifications for simple request
- Mid Level: At least 3 years of experience with a proven track record of writing increasingly complex code
- Senior Level: At least 6 solid years of prior experience writing highly complex code, translating customer requirements into technical requirements
- Undergraduate degree with a focus in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline. Experience in software development in lieu of degree will be considered
- Solid written and spoken English language capabilities
