The Software Service Centre (SSC) Team Lead role is a Gdansk based role within the Professional Services team and will report directly to the Central Development Group (CDG) Manager in FINEOS Head Office, Dublin, Ireland. The SSC Lead will have responsibility for successfully leading the delivery of Technical consulting services across multiple projects out of the SSC in Gdansk to the CDG. This role is about ensuring the integrity of the work, skills base and processes for the key activities in which the Gdansk based TCs are involved. This is primarily a leadership role which requires extremely high levels of two way communication.

Opis stanowiska


The key to this role’s success is the leadership and communication that will be required. The role requires the lead to be a FINEOS cultural mediator instilling a sense of confidence and ownership within the Gdansk team while holding true to the core FINEOS values. The strength of the leadership will have an extra level of complexity given the distance and communication challenges (working in a different language, locality familiarisation, etc) that will be faced when starting up in a new country. Specific tasks will include:
  • Reporting directly to the Central Development Group (CDG) Manager in Dublin, the SSC Team Lead will act as the primary lead for all Technical Consulting resources, practices and collateral out of the Gdansk office.
  • Provide daily/weekly updates to the CDG Manager.
  • Working with Project Manager’s and the Delivery Manager in the best utilisation of the Gdansk based resources.
  • Working with the CDG Manager in Dublin to identify and agree deliverables from the SSC team to the CDG in Dublin.
  • Identification, Planning, Scheduling, reporting and Tracking of SSC Work Packages.
  • Scheduling, allocation, utilisation of SSC resources.
  • Ensuring the effective communication between the Gdansk office and Dublin for solution reviews, best practice guidance and independent project support.
  • Ensuring the communication from the Gdansk office, on all projects is efficient and understood by all parties.
  • Provide practical support, guidance and mentoring to the SSC team in Gdansk.
  • To ensure that best practice for team members is rolled out and adhered to within the Gdansk office.
  • Liaise with other process and practice areas within the organisation and across the regions to ensure best practice consistency.
  • Manage the daily operations of the SSC team, with a focus on providing quality deliverables to the projects.
  • Communicate with Human Resources on specific Gdansk based issues.
Key Performance Indicators:
  • Quality on-time and on budget delivery of software development work packages
  • Effective and timely reporting of the key metrics needed to measure and monitor the operations under the control of the SSC Team Lead.
  • Consistent adherence to formalised process for key activities under the control of the SSC Team Lead.
  • A very strong operating relationship with the CDG Manager and Delivery Manager.
  • Maximum utilisation of all team resources to maximise billability for the team.

Wymagania

Requirements The suitable candidate will possess most of the following.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience of leading a team of 10 or more people.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience of providing technical supervision and mentorship.
  • Experience of working within a distributed development environment and virtual teams.
  • Experience of working in other European regions were English is used as the first language.
  • An Excellent communicator, process driven and proven leader.
  • Proven ability to learn new architectures, infrastructure, and product sets.
  • Proven expert in technical best practice.
  • The ability to succeed when not measured by individual output but the output of an entire team.
  • The applicant must be an excellent team player and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to other regions and customer sites.
  • Ability to travel to the FINEOS Dublin office on a regular basis.
