Technical Application Manager

Job description
An Application Manager is a customer/business facing role, responsible for providing 1st / 2nd and 3rd level support and owner of all applications in scope, see addendum. Troubleshooting and resolving application problems across an enterprise environment. Perform LCM on these application, coordinate and perform installation, configuration, migration, updates and upgrades on the workplace environment.
Core activities:
Performance, analysis and development
- Carries out the operational execution of processes in the analysis, design, construction, implementation and management of hardware, software and networking applications.
- Analyzes complex customer requirements and issues. Gathers, interprets and reports data. Design solutions for non-everyday problems to clients.
- Manages all authorization (IDM) and licences for applications in scope.
- Perform development test work.
Troubleshooting
- Open minded and the ability to have an overview of the whole process / infrastructure. Receives non-standard problems and requests of (very) complex and comprehensive nature and records them; Solves the problems independently. It’s the job of Application manager to find the right solution and the path to implement this solution. The application manager we are looking for should see the challenge in that.
Business focus
- Advises line management in relation to (new) functionalities, testing processes, information services and improvement opportunities for the business with eye for the chain.
- Advises procurement regarding LCM in prolongation / extention of licenses regarding cost reduction.
- Ensures uniform application of policies, procedures and guidelines within the departments own area of concern.
Coordination
- Appreciates the work performed by third parties, such as external suppliers, monitors the quality of services provided and the connection to the Achmea infrastructure.
General
- Maintains internal contact with end users, clients, process owners, developers, other application managers, application architects and management to inform, align, advise, and restrict.
- Good communicative skills. Not everyone is equally smart when it comes to technology, application manager has to act as an intermediary between business and technology.
- Maintains external contact with suppliers and information managers to coordinate work.
Job Requirements:
Work and thinking level, work experience
- Bachelor (+) with at least 3 years of experience supplemented with relevant training.
Knowledge of, and experience in the field of
- SCCM 2007, SCCM 2012
- Windows 7, 8, 10
- Knowledge about mentioned AM tooling in scope (plus)
- Active Directory
- Group Policies (GPOs)
- PowerShell scripting
- Basic network and certificate knowledge
- VDI/Citrix knowledge
- ITIL v3 Foundation
- Prince2 or similar
