For our client, one of world Leaders in production and distribution of technical gases for chemical, petrochemical, medical and heavy industries we are looking for a subcontractor to fulfil the Category Buyer vacancy. This will be initially 12-month long B2B contract with possibility for extension.
Category Buyer
Main tasks will include:
- Negotiating supply agreements for assigned category as directed
- Purchasing lead equipment for projects to meet the Project Procurement Plan
- Contributing to category management
- Being involved during Project Proposal phase for assigned category
- Developing Commercial Bid Quotation under TCO consideration
- Recommending selected supplier for Purchase Order
- Supporting warranty case clarification / claim management
- Identifying track and report key performance indicators
- Providing category input / support to other departments such as Project Management,
- Sales and Business Development, Products/Technology
- Providing accurate reports within agreed deadlines
- Formalizing supplier back charges and penalties
- Negotiating contracts as directed by global category management
- Maintaining Vendor list for assigned category
- Monitoring supplier performance and report results as requested
- Providing consistent performance feedback to supplier
We are looking for:
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
- Strong communication, team work and problem solving skills
- Self- motivation and capability to work with tight deadlines
- Strong planning and negotiation skills
- Not afraid to “work the phone”
- Experience in similar role would be an asset
- Basic understanding of AutoCAD/designer work would be an asset
