Managing changes and transitions of IT applications/services as part of a team of Change Analyst.
Ensuring that standardized methods and procedures are used for efficient and prompt handling of all Changes to control IT Infrastructure, in order to minimize the number and impact of any related Incidents upon service.
Managing the lifecycle of individual Change tickets, hereunder receive, logs and allocates a priority to all requests for changes that are totally impractical and in some case also initiating and registrating change requests and release requests.
Reviewing changes, then requesting authorisation from Local Approver, CAB or ECAB and communicates to the Deployment team, when Changes must be deployed. Also, ensuring all mandatory artefacts is attached to the ticket before CAB decision.
Ensuring that changes are introduced into the organization with minimum disruption to existing services.
Analyzing the risk and impact of changes.
Making sure that changes are approved in a timely manner by the appropriate review boards. Ensuring efficient flow of Change Requests through Change Management process and tool (Remedy).
Ensuring that all the activities designed to implement the change are as per the standards. Review change plan and ensure its adherence to standards.
Authorizing and approving minor (low risk) changes.
Advising on introduction of Standard Changes (low risk changes that do not need separate RFCs & CAB) so they could be implemented directly by 1st or 2nd lines of support.
Coordinating and conduct meetings with Change advisory board (CAB) to discuss higher risk changes.
Advising to convene urgent CAB or CAB/EC meetings for all urgent RFCs.
Identifying the Forward Schedule of Changes (FSC).
Preparing Change Summary Sheet that summarizes all RFC’s for CAB team.
Updating the Change log with all progress that occurs, including any actions to correct problems and/or to take opportunities to improve service quality.
Reviewing all implemented Changes to ensure that they have met their objectives. Refer back any that have been backed out or have failed
Producing regular and accurate management reports.
Ensuring that support SLAs, OLAs and UIC are strictly adhered to.
Escalating tickets at risk of breaching SLA/OLA to process coordinator/manager.
Management of archiving and updating operational documentation and procedures for services, applications and processes.
3 years of experience as team member in IT Service Organization, working with Change Management or Release & Deployment Management processes and correlating ITIL processes including specifying, designing, and implementing deployment strategies for scaled IT infrastructures.
Strong sense of ownership of IT services quality, and customer orientation, ability to proactively follow up on customer issues.
Strong ITSM processes orientation.
Experience in working within financial sector is a plus, but not a pre-requisite.
Excellent communication skills in English – listening, verbal and written – including meeting management and facilitation.
Extensive knowledge of software development lifecycle.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills.
Solid communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred candidates with IPMA, Prince 2 or PMI certifications, ITIL certification.
BA / BS in Computer Science / Information Systems or equivalent experience
Experience working as an IT Project Manager is not mandatory but preferred.
