Graphic Arts Team Lead

Duties:
- Leading and overseeing production staff in a Pre-media environment including Page Production and Image Editing.
- Managing, training and mentoring a team of 20 plus technicians in a full prep environment.
- Achieving and exceeding KPI’s as established within the operational standards.
- Supporting and leading the team with a focus on Continual Improvement utilizing Lean manufacturing methodology include MDI, Kaizen, etc.
- Performing employee evaluations as required as well as providing effective feedback during the course of normal business operations.
- Proper staffing with Site Operations Manager to achieve necessary forecasted volumes.
- Providing all necessary reporting as required by the Site Operations Manager.
Other duties:
- Evaluate color and content according to customer specifications.
- Create silhouettes and drop shadows.
- Extensive cloning and retouching.
- Complex Masking.
- Read and follow internal markup and customer instructions.
- Thorough understanding digital image conversion from RGB to CMYK.
- Perform specific color correction as needed, determined by evaluation of provided copy and/or soft proof evaluation.
- Spec out specific RGB and CMYK values for customer swatches or product.
Requirements:
- Must have 10-15 years of experience in a high volume pre-media work environment within the Adobe Suite of software with extensive knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat.
- Experience in managing the team of graphic designers (both in small company and corporate environment) is a must.
- English language on fluent (min C1 level) with technical language knowledge.
- High school education is minimum.
- Patience, accuracy and attention to details.
- Open minded and readiness to learn.
- General knowledge of the workflows and procedures for the assigned area.
- Understanding of Mac environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat and Illustrator).
- Proficiency with pen/tablet (WACOM) is highly preferred.
