IT Project Manager

What will you do?
- Successfully execute the IT project to agreed schedule, budget and scope – projects are likely a mixture of software development / deployment and associated infrastructure provisioning
- Perform the relevant project management processes - i.e. initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close, and the supporting processes e.g. scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication
- Plan the project based on a defined need – results in detailed scope/budget/schedule baseline
- Monitor and control the work to ensure that the project remains on track and in control
- Efficient problem resolution and maximization of system availability, proactively manage the local infrastructure
- Reports on variances to the approved project baseline
- Close the project to formalize acceptance of the project result and release project resources
- Interface and communicate with project team and management
- Manage project work and resources to enable successful and timely completion of the project
- Performs gate reviews and quality assurance reviews with all aspects of IT organization and business
- Support development of business cases with the customer team including assisting on the solutions estimate
- Develop objectives, phasing and content of the project to deliver on the business case benefits, budget and timescales
What do we expect?
- 5+ years’ of experience in managing technical IT projects in complex infrastructure environment
- Track record of delivering complex IT projects with technology deployments to production, in both outsourced and insourced
- Experience of working in an international environment and / or bioindustry will be much appreciated
- Ability to create concise and clear consolidated reports and visual presentations to communicate triple constraint and business impacts effectively to senior management, stakeholders and SMEs,
- Solid understanding of project financials, business case calculations, project cost, capital, operational expense variance compared to present TCO and benefit tracking.
- Certificate in project management methodology will be appreciated (PMI, PRINCE2)
- Higher technical or business education; training in project management will be appreciated
- Proficiency knowledge in the field of software development
- Fluency in English;
- Experience working in consulting projects and with agile methodology will be much appreciated
- Communication and team work skills
