Northvolt is establishing its first facility to industrialize and produce battery systems. In order to meet the increased demand for complete battery solutions on the European market, we are establishing a highly automated, state-of-the-art production facility for battery modules and energy storage solutions in Gdansk, Poland.

Currently we are looking for Manufacturing Engineer who will design, develop, implement, and nurture processes and equipment for manufacturing
- Influence design to optimize manufacturability up front, driving improvement in cost and quality
- initiate new processes and improve existing processes to enhance interoffice communication, product documentation and supplier coordination
- Develop and review mechanical drawings and models with computer aided tools
- Interact with customers in order to understand the products use cases and requirements
- Brainstorm and develop early product concepts
- CAD modelling of the product and its parts
- Creation of technical drawings for customers and manufacturing
- Developing effective automated and non-automated systems
- Testing new and existing production procedures
Qualifications / Experience:
- BSc or MSc degree within mechanical engineering or relevant field or comparable work experience
- Experience implementing practical production processes, comprehensively, at high speed
- Familiarity with battery module/pack manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing, or other similar industries.
- Experience in discrete manufacturing line design and equipment selection
- Knowledge of prototype integration, testing and design validation processes
- +4 years of mechanical experience
- Experience from development and testing
- English- fluent
