QA Team Lead

Responsibilites
- Develop and implement approach for creating and managing test data for data warehouse (several hundred data sources)
- Implement test data masking techniques (synthetic data)
- Develop synthetic test data solution
- Accountable for initiating, developing, and communicating enterprise wide Application architecture standards, practices, and policies
- drive the creation and maintenance of the current and future directives of the IT Organization.
- Furthermore, this job serves as an advisor to IT Leadership to determine business impact through cost/benefit evaluation
- Define test strategies/approach depending on the project specifics
- Clarify functional requirements with the business analysts, identify and report gaps between requirements and the implementation plans
- Develop and execute test cases, testing plans and procedures
- Manual testing of the multicomponent systems
- Work with the development team to test the software and business processes developed to ensure they satisfy the business requirements, and meet the design/specification
- Suggest and implement improvements to the processes impacting project quality
- Create and maintain the regression test suite to guarantee the best coverage from the business perspective
- Identify non-functional requirements, convert them into test cases
- Interact with the production support and testing teams
- Prepare and conduct demo sessions for the stakeholders
- Identify and report defects, track them till resolution
- Prepare testing status reports
- Lead and coach less experienced QA team members
Requirements
Must have:
- Fluency in English and good communication skills
- Experience with IT Architecture
- Knowledge/experience: Data warehouse
- Strong SQL skills, knowledge of SQL to analyze data and determine patters
- Understand the concepts of test data quality, test data generation and test data management
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) on software testing requirements/architecture, testing framework, automation framework, automation tools and technologies with a major focus on data testing
- Superior understanding of testing approaches and methodologies
- Perfect understanding of Agile and Waterfall SDLC
- Experience setting up quality related processes and monitoring of their effectiveness, quality metrics collection
- Knowledge of Java and Junit
- HP ALM Suite (HP LoadRunner)
Should have:
- TeraData knowledge is a plus
- Knowledge of BigData/Hadoop is a big plus
- Experience with BDD and TDD
- Distributed version control systems (Bitbucket\Stash, Git\Github, Mercurial, etc.)
- Build automation and continuous integration (Bamboo, Jenkins, Maven, etc)
Nice to have:
- Scripting languages Bash, Python
- Knowledge/experience in the financial domain is a plus
- Degree in Computer Science
