On behalf of Sony Pictures Global Business Services an international company providing financial and accounting services from Gdynia, Poland, we are currently recruiting for the position of Royalties Accountant who will contribute to achievement of quality and performance standards of Royalties, General Accounting and Control function.
 
ROYALTIES ACCOUNTANT

Your role will include:
  • Calculating and generating Royalty accruals / postings
  • Preparing Royalties statements
  • Ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow under the supervision of the Financial Controller / Finance Director
  • Validating automatic General Ledger (GL) postings
  • Preparing manual GL postings
  • Preparing corrections and adjustments as appropriate
  • Completing reconciliations of Balance Sheet items and interfaces as appropriate
  • Ensuring compliance with SOX requirements
  • Executing general accounting period-end routines
  • Determining accruals and prepayments
  • Preparing data and analysis as required for Monthly Finance Packs
  • Preparing other management reports and analyses as required as well as draft statutory accounts in accordance with local GAAP (IFRS) requirements
  • Responding promptly to queries directed from SSC Query Support Analysts
To be successful in this role you should have:

  • BA/MA degree in finance or accounting
  • At least 1 year experience of working within Accounting function
  • Good working knowledge of SAP Financials
  • Excellent Ms Excel skills and great analitical skills
  • Exposure to international shared service environment
  • Appreciation of local regulatory requirements (GAAP and IFRS)
  • Ability to effectively communicate and operate in an international environment
  • Flexibility with duties and scope of work
Language Skills:
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, across the business and finance organizations in business English language skills (oral and written)
  • French language skills will be an additional asset
