Main duties:
Securities Settlements Associate
Main duties:
- focusing on the EMEA securities markter, working with other Operations groups -managing key day-to-day relationships with agent banks, internal trading desks, etxternal brokers and clients with a strong emphasis on risk management and control
- mitigating financial and reputational risk for the firm and itd Clients by ensuring that securities transactions are settled efficiently and on time
- responding to varied queries from external Clients and internes Business Partners
- understanding and implementing internal and external regulations
- assessing market changes and presenting the impacts/recommendations to management
- protecting the Firm and its Clients from market penalties associated with asset servicing and buy-in events
- reviewing control reports to clear breaks, exceptions and escalating to senior management
- assisting with project initiatives designed to improve and streamlibe existing processes
- helping identify opportunities to improve settlement accuracy, efficiency and the risk profile
Requirements:
- university degree
- minimum 5 years experience in an operations or finance related role
- being comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and demands
- securities product/market knowledge
- proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
