The team is responsible for configuring and maintaining the Trading infrastructure and is the glue between Business and Technology in Nordea. We implement, configure and maintain 3rd party Trading applications and infrastructure within Markets Trading area.
The role contains a mix of working with IT vendors, low-level technical work and developing the business by exploiting our IT capabilities. You will work with key stakeholders in the Trading and IT organisation and have the opportunity to make a big difference and drive the business forward.
What you’ll be doing:
- Secure high stability by designing robust and resilient infrastructure
- IT compliance such as design documents, general documentation and changes
- Linux scripting, software configuration/deployments
- Securing best performing Trading platform/environment in an ever-changing IT world
- Connectivity towards electronic markets
The role is based in Gdańsk but in your daily work you will be working closely with the e-Trading Platform team in Copenhagen. The Infrastructure capabilities already exist of two colleagues in Gdańsk and one in Copenhagen.

Your profile and background:
- Relevant educational background (e.g. Bachelor, Candidate or Diploma degree in IT)
- Network protocols (e.g. TCP) and tools (e.g. Wireshark, Corvil)
- Firewall, router or switch configuration
- Server setup and performance optimization
- Scripting on Solaris, Linux and Windows like bash and Python
- English is our working language, so you must be fluent in written and spoken English
- Auto deployment via Ansible
- Optional knowledge about: FX and Rates trading
The space we work in is driven by low latency and we measure delays in milliseconds and even microseconds. Therefore we have a lot of rewarding challenges in doing optimization and tuning our Trading platform.
