Job context:
We are constantly enhancing our Kafka as a Service platform for the bank. Our solution has an UI which allows projects and applications to easily onboard to Kafka, create topics, publish and consume data with a strong data governance model for approvals. In the coming year we would like to start offering the ability to automate the provisioning of Kafka connectors and improve the onboarding of Kafka Streams powered applications.
Requirements:
- Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
- Solid experience of Java 8 and development of backend components.
- Knowledge of message bus technology, integration patterns, and KAFKA
- Knowledge of API based web integration technologies such as XML, RESTful APIs/JSON, gRPC
- Practical experience with relational databases or NoSQL databases
- Knowledge of containerization with Docker & Kubernetes
- Familiarity with distributed version control (Git)
- CI/CD and deployment automation with tools such as
- Understanding of TDD methodology and test frameworks
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluency in English
