Currently, for our Client we are looking for candidates for the position of:
Place of work: Gdansk
As a Senior Operations Manager you will identify and further develop all aspects of supply chain/logistics and IT processes. Moreover, you will be in close contact with all other business functions. You will independently manage all respective projects.
The role requires intensive cooperation with all hierarchical levels – e.g. from warehouse workers to top management. Senior Manager Operations will significantly contribute to the dynamic business development.
- Monitor and identify optimization potential of all internal and external processes of the entire chain
- Analyze and define business requirements as well as design the processes, including technical specification
- Initiate, define and manage complex projects, with big focus on IT aspects
- Prepare strategic IT decisions covering all areas of the business, e.g. selection of IT solutions/applications, make/buy decision, IT organization to provide the most effective projects implementation
- Assess and prepare cost/benefit analysis as decision basis for future solutions
- Intensive interaction with cross-functional teams to organize project meetings and monitor project progress
- Prepare IT and supply chain budgets together with the respective functions (IT and logistics)
- In case of relevant experience, leading IT & logistics departments
- Master’s degree in IT, business engineering, supply chain, logistics or other relevant fields
- At least 7 years of experience in IT, supply chain and/or project management, ideally in an international environment, including project teams management
- Knowledge of IT solutions within e-commerce, retail and/or supply chain industry (e.g. in ERP for mid-sized companies like Sage and/or Dynamics AX, in warehouse/supply chain solutions, in web technologies and with databases like SQL or Oracle)
- Project and program management competences and know-how
- Knowledge in methods of designing and implementation of processes
- Consulting, supply chain/warehouse logistics or e-commerce/retail experiences would be an add-on
- Excellent English skills
