IVONA Software an Amazon company researches, develops and delivers cutting edge multi-language Text to Speech technology, leading in voice quality, accuracy and ease of use.
As part of our development team you will work with the Amazon Digital and Mobile Products team has developed significant digital and mobile businesses including Amazon MP3, Amazon Video on Demand, IMDB, Amazon Mobile store, and the Kindle Fire. These businesses are powered by software that runs on a range of mobile platforms including iPhone, Blackberry, Android, Windows Mobile and WebOS.
Please note that this position is based in Poland.
As a member of the team you will be responsible for leading the development and launch of core product features. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define these product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.

Basic Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 4+ years of industry experience.
- Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl
- Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
- Experience building scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems for commercial online services.
- Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing cloud software services and an understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability.
- Development experience defining, developing and maintaining REST based interfaces
- Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
