Job Description
- Analyze the volume information and SAP quicksizer results to map the relevant Client compliant hardware model
- Work with lead architect to provide inputs on the sizing and capabilities requirements collection
- Provide a single point solution view from Client and reach out internally in Client to organize the additional solution information (Disk , Memory, DB etc )
- Work with lead architect to prepare solution view of the proposed hardware architecture model
- Provide additional point of view and recommendation on SAP on HANA and its pros and cons over the conventional technology (this is part of the overall solution view of the previous bullet )
- Address other key areas besides the hardware architecture and work with architect to develop the approach similar to the hardware architecture design approach
- Provide advisory help to Client Project Manager and Relationship Manager to furnish necessary Client formalities to get the additional Client services
- Operating Systems Unix, Linux, Windows (all are used for SAP)
- Oracle & MS SQL databases
- HP & SUN hardware and internal architecture
- SAP Basis (internal architecture, main functions, customizing, technical customizing)
- Security / JAVA / WEB (important for several SAP Applications like a SAP Portal or a SAP BW)
- landscapes (current architectures, versioning, interfaces, dependencies, etc.)
- SAP Application main function in the Client system IS (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Purchasing, HR, etc.)
- Specific Client system technical customizations,
- Interfaces between Applications
- Scheduling overview
- Related SAP external functions like scheduling, central printing, etc.
- Storage and backup technologies and constraints (this is important for a sizing, the SLA and the DR)
