How you will make an impact
As a Transport Planner at Arla’s ETCC in Gdańsk, you’ll be responsible for planning, scheduling, and optimizing transport across our European network. Collaborating with internal teams, carriers, and stakeholders, you’ll ensure smooth daily operations, meet service targets, and drive cost-efficient solutions. Your problem-solving skills and attention to detail will be key to improving performance and maintaining flow.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop loading and delivery schedules to ensure timely product collection and delivery.
- Plan and execute vehicle loads while optimizing routes and fill efficiency, invoice control.
- Coordinate with Arla’s carrier network to facilitate smooth transport operations.
- Monitor and analyze carrier performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards in transport activities.
This position sits within the European Transport Control Center, providing key support for Arla’s transport operations across multiple sites. It is a permanent role within the organization.
What will make you successful
We're seeking a candidate with solid experience in transport operations and logistics planning, ideally within a European control tower setup. Proficiency in transport management systems like SAP TM is essential, and knowledge of UK-related customs processes is a plus
Key qualifications & Skills:
- 3–5 years’ experience in transport planning, scheduling, freight settlement, and invoice control.
- Strong knowledge of European geography and carrier management.
- Proficiency in SAP TM or similar TMS.
- Fluent English (additional language is a plus).
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
