Main accountabilities:
- Administering IBM mid-range infrastructure along with external storage arrays, virtual and physical tape libraries
- Performing technology refreshes (hardware, operating system, firmware)
- Performing patching
- Performing system configuration changes
- Deployment of application upgrades/ fixes for concerned infrastructure
- Performance tuning and capacity management reporting
- Provisioning new environments
- Backup and restore responsibilities
- Security management for concerned infrastructure
- Proactively monitoring and working on incoming tasks and incidents logged into the workflow tools or incident management database system (e.g. ITSM)
- AS400 CL Developer (RPG – ILE Developer) will be an advantage
- Knowledge of CONTROL-M application workflow orchestration will be an advantage
Capgemini’s Operations Support Group (OSG) at Data Services is a small, highly focused team, which utilizes mostly AS/400 and CONTROL-M technologies, amongst others, to provide 3rd level support for two international clients. Requirements:
- Readiness to acquire new technical skills
- Experience in systems operation or administration of IBM Power Systems environments running IBM iOS
- Experience with managing partitioned systems, Data Mirror journaling will be an advantage
- Experience with SAN technology, VIOS, HMC, BRMS, Disaster Recovery and Security will be an advantage
- Good English language skills (B1)
