As a Automic Infrastructure Expert you will be tasked with providing third level support for UC4/Automic batch schedule system and server utilities. Responsibilities include performing installation, configuration, and day-to-day tasks in close cooperation with customer. Additional responsibilities will include authoring support documentation for additional systems, troubleshooting, problem resolution, subject matter expert support escalation and cross-training additional support staff.
Responsibilities:
- Patch, upgrade and implement new Automation Engine versions
- Interact with vendor support personnel to jointly resolve issues
- Test new hotfixes and patches release by the vendor
- Ongoing maintenance of third level support documentation
- Scripting in UC4 Language, Bash, VBS, REXX, SQL complex queries
- Monitoring UC4 System performance & stability
- Develop processes, work procedures and solutions to optimize system and application
- Administrate Server Agents for AIX, Linux, Windows, SAP
- Coordinate and implement changes in IT Change Management including activities that ensure a good measure to the impact of the change within the work area and environment, ensure that your changes are properly planned, managed and reviewed
Requirements:
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft operating systems and productivity tools
- At least 2 years experience working with batch job scheduling and processing, computer
- Experience with Unix operating systems/ Linux/AIX or Mainframe technology
- networks, databases, file servers, file transfers and related technologies
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills including phone etiquette
- Ability to work under pressure to resolve critical production issues
- Strong work ethic to follow issues through to final resolution
- Ability to multitask and prioritizing when multiple issues occur simultaneously
- Willing to work weekends and provide after-hours support as/if required
Nice to have:
- Experience utilizing UC4/Automic or other batch scheduling systems
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server technologies
- Experience with UNIX technologies
- Experience with Network technologies and programming concepts
- Experience in engaging with vendors to assist in the resolution of incidents
- Experience with document management technologies
- Experience with generating reports and technical documentation
- Experience in using a service management “ticketing” system to manage workload such as ServiceNow (preferred), Remedy, or similar.
- Familiarity with z/OS and XINFO is an advantage
- German language is an advantage
