Backup System Engineer

Job description
- Managing Backup and Archive systems
- Proposing enhancements to existing infrastructure
- Designing and implementing new solutions
- Developing and maintaining existing documentation
- Day-to-day servers management and support
- Backup and Archive systems monitoring and reporting
- Hardware problem determination
- Incident/Problem/Change Management process\' according to ITIL rules
Main accountabilities
- Backup and Archive systems: TSM and EMC CENTERA
- Hardware management, especially HP tape drives and rack servers
- Incident/Problem/Change Management
Requirements
Essential:
- At least 1 year of professional experience with designing and managing Backup systems
- Good English language skills
- Knowledge of IBM Tivoli backup solution
Nice to have:
- Experience in storage array management
- Experience in managing Enterprise class environments
- Familiarity with EMC Centera
Candidate’s profile
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Self motivation and able to work within a team or autonomous
- Be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
