Job description
Job Purpose:
Provide and co-ordinate support for IT system in NSK Europe. Develop new and modify existing software
which supports enterprise management and other business requirements in NSK Europe.
Responsibility:
- Provide first level support for information systems supporting enterprise management.
- Design, develop and test required modifications, fixes and new functions in the information systems used in NSK Europe.
- Ensure data integrity and correct data flow and registration in the information systems used in NSK Europe.
- Design, develop and test new software to meet business requirements of NSK Europe.
- Analyse project requirements and documentation to be able to deliver optimal IT solutions.
- Support release of requested software changes, fixes and new functions or software as well as
- provide post-implementation support.
- Understand functional and technical details of information systems used for enterprise management in NSK Europe as well as interfaces between these systems.
- Acquire technical knowledge by self-learning or attendance in the internal and external courses.
- Cooperate within the team and with chosen third parties which delivers software to NSK Europe to ensure completion of the project activities.
- Estimate the effort and additional cost and resources required to complete given tasks.
- Create and maintain software documentation.
- Cooperate with the production teams and research and development units to maintain, optimise and develop information systems.
- Seek for improvements to the existing information systems and data security in NSK Europe.
- Learn and respect IT standards within NSK Europe.
- Contact the software providers which delivers IT solutions to NSK Europe in order to complete project activities.
- Be ready for business travel in Poland and abroad.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Holder of a degree in a relevant subject and 1 year experience in software development
Skills & Knowledge:
- Good communication skills in English
- Ability to understand the system requirements and to see how these may be met
- Ability to cooperate within the team and with third parties
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical customers and at all levels via excellent presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, tenacity, persuasion, negotiation, assertiveness, numerate & analytical
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work to tight deadlines in a pressurised environment
- Ability to work on own initiative when required but able to adapt to working as part of a team
- Knowledge and understanding of software and databases design and developments principals
- Good understanding of any programming language (i.e. C, C#, PHP, Java)
- Very good understanding of SQL and relational databases
- PHP and / or Java programming skills would be advantage
- PL/SQL programming skills would be advantage
- Knowledge about business processes/systems (ERP, MRP) would be advantage.
Experience:
- 1 Year of programming in any programming language
- 1 Year of working with relational databases
- Experience in SQL optimisation would be advantage
